It takes over 1,000 people and 16 days to whip the Australian Garden Show Sydney into shape, that’s no mean feat! Here is a sneak peak at what you will see in Centennial Park, Thursday 4 – Sunday 7 September…
Large-scale, custom-built gardens designed by industry heavyweights Don Burke, the Royal Botanic Gardens, the Landscape Association of NSW & ACT (LNA), and the Nursing and Garden Industry NSW & ACT (NGINA) are a show highlight. Be greeted by the wonder and magic of the Royal Botanic Gardens’ display as you enter the show, delight over the unique and masterful LNA and NGINA displays, and marvel as Don’s Backyard Farm comes to life over the four days.
Come and experience what promise to be the greatest judged show gardens to be displayed in the Southern Hemisphere. Delivered by leading Australian and international horticultural and landscape innovators, featuring an awe-inspiring array of native and exotic plants, as well as new ideas and the latest trends in garden design, architecture and sustainability.
City Gardens – presented by Debco
Big ideas for small gardens, presented by Debco. The City Gardens are based on typical city terrace sizes approximately 5m x 5m. Designers include seasoned industry professionals, landscape designers and emerging young designers. The City Gardens will showcase the latest innovations and emerging trends that consumers will be keen to incorporate into their own urban residences.
Balcony Gardens – presented by Yates
Lead by Garden Show Ambassador Indira Naidoo, the 2m x 5m balcony displays will bring to together green oases, stylish design and sustainable practice for inner city living, by utilising vertical space and clever garden innovation. Come and see that with a little imagination forgoing a backyard does not mean forgoing a garden!
Adult tickets are $35pp, kids under 15 years have FREE entry, and other ticketing options include a discounted senior’s rate of $20pp group tickets (10 or more) for the show days Thursday & Friday and $25pp ticket price for the Saturday and Sunday show days. With the support of the NSW government, alongside Australia’s key gardening associations and the gardening industry, the second annual Australian Garden Show Sydney promises to double the entertainment, information and enjoyment for audiences.
