2014 Program Launch for Australian Garden Show Sydney
The Assistant Minister for Tourism & Major Events, the Hon. Katrina Hodgkinson MP, launched the program of the Australian Garden Show Sydney at Sydney’s iconic Centennial Park yesterday.
The Show is will appeal to amateur and professional gardeners, design enthusiasts, families and homeowners looking for inspiration for their home.
Gardening legend Don Burke and President of the Horticulture Media Association, Angus Stewart, join the line-up as the Show’s Ambassadors this year. They join Indira Naidoo, Andrew Fisher Tomlin (NHGA UK Garden Designer of the Year) and Myles Baldwin – all seen as innovators and leaders in their fields.
Graham Ross VMM, was announced as Chair of Judges, and is joined by House Rules star Joe Snell, Royal Botanic Gardens Director of Horticulture Jimmy Turner, Linda Ross, Stuart Pittendrigh, Wes Flemming, Tim Creer and Jim Fogarty.
On display will be dozens of gardens covering a variety of styles from inspirational gardens; large-scale, custom-built installations delivered by leading Australian and international landscape designers to backyard city gardens and balcony gardens, showcasing a mixture of cutting edge and traditional designs.
Children under 15 will be admitted FREE and can enjoy a special children’s area featuring entertainment, play areas, yoga sessions and kids cooking activities.
